St. Mary’s Retreat House greets you as you enter the grounds of the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. This large homey building is a sacred space for prayer, reflection and relaxation. Each weekend, from September through May, St. Mary’s accommodates about 60 women who wish to step aside from their ordinary daily routines to spend quality time deepening their relationship with Jesus.

 Amidst the bustling growth of Oxford and Lake Orion, St. Mary’s offers a place of peace and quiet surrounded by the natural beauty of trees, flowers and grassy fields. Discover outdoor shrines, stations of the cross and quiet resting places throughout the 40 acres of peaceful atmosphere.

 Women’s weekend retreats are conducted by a variety of directors and directresses who offer conferences, individual counseling, prayer services and Eucharist. There is time for reading, private prayer and sharing. You will find sincere sociability, attractive and comfortable surroundings and good food.

 By special arrangement groups or individuals who wish to make a day of reflection without an overnight stay can be accommodated.
